Released and provisional results

Why a complete-looking result may still be provisional.

How the platform keeps records

A result can be worked out, and separately signed, and separately released to you. Those are three steps, and you see the third one.

Where you meet it

Most visibly on your device classification, which reads Provisional until every condition for releasing it is met — even when your expert has already reached and signed a conclusion.

The rule

Client-facing surfaces show a result as released only when the expert's recorded act and the current basis both stand. If either moves, the surface goes back to provisional rather than continuing to show a result the platform can no longer support.
