Upload source documents and read their processing state

Add evidence to a case and understand whether Complya could process each file.

Your case

Where to find it

Documents

You need

  • A case in your organisation.
  • A source file relevant to that case.

Upload the document to the case it belongs to. The processing state is printed on two surfaces — the Documents table, and the ⌘K palette's Recent list — with different words on each; the case page's own Source documents card lists files without a processing label. The state describes the file's ingestion only; it does not say that the regulatory content is correct or sufficient.

What the states mean

StateMeaning
Processing (Indexing… in the ⌘K palette)The file is waiting to be read.
Processing (Indexing… in the ⌘K palette)Complya is reading the file.
Ready (the filter pill — a ready row shows no status line; Searchable in the ⌘K palette)The file is available to the case workflows.
Index failedReading the file did not produce a usable result.
Not searchableThe file type cannot be read by this flow.

What happens next

  • Ready documents can contribute facts and evidence to the case.
  • Adding a document during early drafting may start extraction again without replacing answers you already confirmed.
